Body of Baby Found in Daun Penh, Wrapped in Krama

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A baby wrapped in a red krama in a cardboard box was left next to the fence of Wat Phnom High School along Street 74 in Srah Chak commune, Daun Penh district at 11:30am on November 1, 2020 .
According to a woman who sells drinks about 100 meters from the scene, before the incident, she saw some tourist buses parked on Street 74 nearby, and when she saw the cardboard box she thought it had been left behind by a driver.
She said that local people then went to look inside the box, and they discovered a little baby wrapped in a krama, but already dead.
The authorities are conducting an autopsy this afternoon to determine how the baby died.
Sad indeed.

Update: Later information says that the baby found in a cardboard box was a boy, aged about a day old. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death.
