Another mathematical problem last night in a KTV.

Phnom Penh: On May 17 at 11 am, three men got unexpectedly overcharged by a KTV named Money on street 2004, Phnom Penh.

Before the incident, the KTV stuff were trying to get the customers to come inside and they told the three men that they just charged $ 20 for a case of beer, which the men thought it was a good deal so they went into the KTV.

BUT, when they asked for the bill, the customers were charged $70. The three men refused to pay because they only planned to spend $ 25, so they didn't even have enough money to pay.
Then things started to get ugly, and when they were threatened by KTV staff, the three men called the police for help.

When the police arrived at the KTV to question the staff and check the bill, they saw that the KTV had really cheated their customers. The police said that this happened all the time in karaokes and that the customers should always take care.

Any idea what the receipt says? The missus says different snacks, surely they did't think they were free?

It looks as though the total is $50, not $70 as well.

You wouldn't expect them to write Boom-Boom $20 on the receipt would you.

aye it has once, the last time i was down there with my mate, a bill that should have cost $30 came back as $108, i managed to barge my way out with my bike and was ready to do a runner but my mate got caught lol i argued the bill down a bit but ended up having to take it on the chin, too far out of town to kicking off too much
had many fun evenings down there, but that one left a sour taste in the mouth

@cautious colin your missus is right,
when we go down there we get 1 box of beer and 4 plates of food for $30,
they will try and con by bringing extra food out which the girls will eat,
in the incident i mentioned in my post above, once i cottoned on to what they were doing when more and more plates of food kept coming, so i was expecting the bill to be a bit higher than the usual price but then i saw the bill, they were trying to charge us $15 for each plate, i kicked off and as they were trying to charge us for plates we didnt even touch, got the bill down a bit but was still ridiculous
