Woman Arrested After Receiving 4 Kgs of MDMA from Belgium

Phnom Penh: A 30 year old woman, Chy Sithorn, was arrested at the main Phnom Penh Post Office located in Daun Penh, on 23 April 2018, after she went to collect a parcel containing 4 Kgs of drugs shipped from Belgium.
The authorities on drug control by post cooperated with the deputy prosecutor, Mr. Reil Sophen, to investigate a package which was suspected to contain drugs shipped from Belgium.On opening the package, they found 4kgs of MDMA, and the Cambodian women who was the receiver was arrested immediately.
After her arrest, the suspect was taken to court on April 25, according to legal procedure.

what happen with the French guy from some weeks ago who also receive 0,4 kg MDMA from Belgium per post ?
What prison Term is on this Kind of drug smuggling ?

I don’t really know, but he’ll be be doing some time overhere, no visa required!

Woman charged over ecstasy trafficking
April 27, 2018
A 30-year-old woman was charged with drug trafficking yesterday after attempting to pick up a 3.5-kilogram package of ecstasy delivered to the post office in Phnom Penh two weeks ago.
He said the package was sent from Belgium to Cambodia and was addressed to Ms Sithan’s home in Phnom Penh, leading police to open an investigation.
Maj Setha said the accused was arrested on Monday evening at about 5.30pm after police lured her into coming to pick up the package from the post office.
“She was arrested by our officers after she came to receive the package of drugs from the post office,” he said. “After we arrested her, we seized the package and brought her to be questioned and investigated at the Interior Ministry.”
Police are now seeking to identify and arrest more suspects who may have been involved with the trafficking of the ecstasy tablets.
Earlier this month, police arrested a French national after a sting operation discovered 357.59 grams of ecstasy trafficked from Belgium via the post office in Daun Penh district.
The French national was charged with drug trafficking and sent to Prey Sar prison pending his trial.
