Drunk Chinese sleeps in the street, gets robbed of $2,400 by a Junk Collector

Phnom Penh: On April 19, a street junk-collector was arrested after stealing money and a phone from a Chinese tourist, identified as Kong Pan, 28 years old. The theft occurred in front of Vanda Accounting Institute on street 402, Khan Chamkarmorn, Phnom Penh, where the very drunk Chinese man had passed out and gone to sleep on the street overnight.
When he woke up the next morning, the Chinese tourist realized that while he was lying drunk and unconscious on the streets of Phnom Penh, he had lost a bag which contained US$2,400 and 2 phones ( iPhone 6 plus and Vivo). After that he went to the police station to file a complaint.
After receiving the complaint, the police went to check the security camera footage, which showed the suspect stealing the bag. The police rounded up the suspect and immediately took him away for questioning about the theft.
The suspect arrested was identified as Dy Sopha, 20 years old. He confessed that he stole the bag, but said that there was only US$180 in it, and he also admitted that he took the phone to sell at Toul Kok Market, before throwing the bag in the garbage. The police tracked down the iPhone 6 Plus to Sopheara phone shop, where it was recovered and restored to the owner.

Poor bugger saw an opportunity and took it. Anything to feed his family but he will go to Prey Sar when all the big criminals will never see the inside .
Sadly if he did not take it someone else would have.

No your not. And the Chinese guy should be fined for sleeping on the street, being drunk in a public place, and put in prison for making a false complaint about how much money he so carelessly left lying around .
