Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: Two men have filed a complaint with police claiming that US$400 was switched to ghost money in their wallets while getting a massage at 09:45 pm on March 12, on 371, Sangkat Chak Angreng, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh.

The two men felt like they needed a massage, so they went to the massage parlor where the masseuse told them to take off their clothes before getting the massage. After the massage was done, it was only after they went returned home that they realized that $400 of the money in their wallets had been switched to ghost money.

The two customers went back to the massage shop but it was closed, and the ladies were gone. The men were very angry that they had been conned, so they smashed up the spirit house of the neighbor adjacent to the massage shop.

The neighbors reported the act of vandalism to the police, who came to sort out the problem, and then took the massage victims to file a complaint for theft at the police station. It is not said if the men were requested to buy some offerings for the damaged spirit house with their ghost money...
