Phnom Penh: On Wednesday, April 11, 2018, police and the Department of Intelligence will carry out the procedure of the General Department of Immigration, led by Lieutenant General Ouk Hai Seila, Director of the Department of Investigation and Implementation of the General Department of Immigration, Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Chinese Police Working Group. A total of 89 Chinese and 15 female expatriates from the Kingdom of Cambodia, via the Phnom Penh International Airport, are involved in online gambling and online fraud by two airplanes as follows:

First leg: From PHNOM PENH to SHENZHEN, China at 14:30 pm on the flight ZH 9046, there are 36 suspects, 15 women and a Chinese police force.


Second leg: From PHNOM PENH to GUANGZHOU BAIYUN, China at 19:30 on the flight ZH 9044, there are 53 male suspects and accompanied by a Chinese police team.

Immigration police today deported 89 Chinese nationals who were arrested last month in connection with online gambling and Voice over Internet Protocol extortion scams.

Lieutenant General Uk Heisela, head of investigations with the General Immigration Department, said that those deported included 15 females

He said that the group was deported on two flights with Chinese commercial aircrafts.

“They were deported on Chinese commercial flights, but the Chinese authority secured their air tickets,” he said.

PHNOM PENH: Cambodia on Wednesday deported nearly 100 Chinese citizens accused of defrauding people in China in an internet scam, a senior Cambodian Interior Ministry official said.

Gen Ouk Haiseila, chief of the Immigration Investigation Bureau, said the 89 suspects, including 15 women, were flown out of the Cambodian capital on two planes sent by the Chinese government. He said members of the group contacted women in China over social media and tricked them into sending nude or erotic photos, then extorted money by threatening to spread the images online.
