Man with Secret Family stabs Pregnant Second Wife to Death

Siem Reap: On April 8 at 8:30 pm, a 36 year old construction worker, Sun Tit, was arrested after killing his second wife in Rumchek village, Soth Nikum District, Siem Reap. The victim identified as Pok Chhean, 36 year old second wife of the suspect, was 4 months pregnant.
Mr. Peung Chendareth, the deputy commissioner of Siem Reap police station, said that the victim and the suspect has been together without being married for 8 months as they used to work on a construction site together. The victim didn't know that her husband already had a wife and children.
But then, on April 6, the suspect went to his ex wife's house in Rum Chek village. On April 8, the second wife also went to Rum Chek village with her mother to get her ID card, and when she was there she realized that her husband already has family before. She didn't argue just let him back to his family. She just took her id card and came back home with her mother.
However, the suspect was angry that his second wife left him when she found out about his secret family, because he wanted to stay with her. So, he took a long knife and attacked her when she was walking home with her mother, stabbing her several times until she died. The man then tried to kill her mother as well, but the villagers came to her defense.
The suspect ran off, trying to escape from the scene of the crime, but the police caught up with him a few hours later and put him under arrest. He was taken to the police station and charged with the murder of his second wife.
