3 Arrests for 160Kg Cross-Border Drug Traffic

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): On October 25, 2022 at 14:15, Special Forces (A7) of the Department of Anti-Drug Crime led by Colonel Vor Vuthea cracked down on a cross-border drug trafficking case, arrested three suspects, and confiscated 160 kilograms of methamphetamine, also known as "ice".
The drugs were first smuggled across the border from Laos by boat, before being loaded into the trunk of a car in Cambodia, which was stopped and searched following a tip-off to police. The following trio of suspects were arrested :

1-Name is Nguyen Chung Hung, male, 34 years old, Vietnamese.
2-Name is Bun Sou Keo Apun, Male, 23 years old, Laotian.
3-Name is Lim Koy, Male, 54 years old, Cambodian.


Captured evidences: - 160 pieces of methamphetamine (ICE) weighing approximately 160 kg in total. The drugs were wrapped as 1 kilogram packets of Chinese tea which were placed in large sacks of Thai sugar.
Currently, with the suspects and exhibits seized above, our competent authorities have built a case to be sent to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court.
