That's a nasty looking swollen eye. According to Facebook groups she was hospitalized in Siem Reap and is now being taken to Phnom Penh for treatment.

If the slippery tiles don't get you the wonky stairs will.

Her friends on FB are saying that although she was found on the bathroom floor, this fall wasn’t due to slippery tiles but to a bacterial infection caused by a parasite.

Sorry for the nice-seeming lady and embarrassing accident. The elderly need Vitamin D and calcium as well, esp. women.

Factors of the dangers os slipping:

- alcohol
- CNS depressants, like marijuana (indica-strain), opioids, codeine, valium, etc
- obesity / being overweight
- slippery tiles and a lack of non-slip strips (I have mine on my shoes)
- rainy season
- aged hubris (overconfidence with increasing age)
- lack of agility exercises

All, I feel, contribute to a needless and nasty end or visit to a hospital with big bills.

You wear shoes in your bathroom ? :?
Anyway, sounds like she was sick and passed out or something.

Ha, no, but I assume most readers can figure out they can dry the slippery surface, apply non-slip strips, and worry no more. I think like $7-$10 to do a few danger spots.

Also works for staircases, esp. metal outdoor ones in the rainy season.

Most old age pensioners with brains have sorted this problem out a long time ago. Nothing is better than a attractive bar-lady to join you in the shower to stop you slipping over.
