Phnom Penh: Heavy rainfall caused flooding in the streets in Chom Chao 3 commune, Por Tu district. Senchey Phnom Penh this morning.
Officials said that the reason for the flooding is likely to be blocked drains, and that it is fortunate that this occurred on a Sunday when there are no traffic jams.

If today's rain's considered 'heavy rains' they better prepare their shores for August....

Weird to get flooding in January although I did notice a bit of a heavy downpour last night. Many of those areas in the outlying districts are outside any dikes and aren't sufficiently backfilled/ shored up.

It followed the same pattern in the capital. Rather strange weather in recent years, at least compared to the previous decade or so.

We had steady rain around the royal palace are but I wouldn’t have thought it big or strong enough to cause that amount of flooding.

I agree with JB, the last few years the weather has been downright weird compared to previous years.
