It is interesting that this guy had flown from Brazil. Ve Thi Tran, who was busted at the airport with ‘heroin’ a few days ago, according to the Khmer Times, flew from Brazil.
Also, the suitcases in which the drugs were concealed look similar.

Phnom Penh: A Belgian Man, 34, DAVID NOEL M CATRY has been arrested at Phnom Penh International Airport on Wednesday at around 8:00 pm with more than one kilogram of cocaine stashed inside his suitcase, according to Koh Santepheap.
David was arrested by anti-drug police with the help from airport customs and immigration officials. He had originally traveled from Brazil with stops over in Ethiiopia and Thailand before arriving in Cambodia, the report adds.

Amazing that people still think that traveling from South America to Cambodia is not going to raise all sorts of red flags. Will he be the first hipster in Prey Sar?

Maybe this is a stupid question but if you are in prison do you need a visa (or EOS not to upset the other Kiwi), or do they sting you for overstay as well when you are released?
I’m guessing you don’t renew your visa (EOS
) while you’re in prison.
