Kampong Cham, Cambodia News: Provincial police chief Major General Em Kosal said on Monday that District Police Chief Colonel Ek Panndorn is suspended from his duties, while being investigated over a complaint from the family of a man who was allegedly beaten up and severely hurt on April 17, 2019.

The investigation was announced following a Facebook posting from Bun Thern, the victim's brother, who posted photos of the beaten man and asked for justice. The brother said that the victim, Hak Seang Han, is currently receiving medical treatment in Vietnam.

That looks like a serious beating. Curious to know why.

I wonder if the victim himself was afraid to come forward for some reason, the obvious of which might be a second, terminal beatdown.
