McLaren P1

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Funny how people here can be so pence wise and pound foolish. Get a one million dollar car, then proceed to have it brought it via some shitty truck that's not designed to specifically hold vehicles, along with I'm assuming a 17 year old driver... Likely uninsured, though that's not a big deal for guys like that.

Agreed, seems transport options are somewhat limited to bring a P1 (or any other high end/super car) to Bangkok for servicing, but at those cars prices might as well buy a specialised semi rig (say at 1/4 mil$ max) to do the job and make a biz out of it. There’s surely over a hundred Maseratis, Ferraris, Lambos, etc in KH now that can’t be serviced here. Not gonna name names but some of these guys trade these cars more often than sideline KTV girls.
The Thais have had a few instances of loaded super car semi-trailers crashing and/or burning so it’s part and parcel out here it seems.
I reckon you won’t be hearing from the driver anytime soon, while this may make the news, his employment propects might be nil if he’s laying face down in a swamp soon enough, dount that’ll be in the PP.
There’s a biz op here, not for the average chap though...

my friend graham I used to race with back home owns a p1 amongst many other exotic sports/hyper cars does transport, storage & servicing of them etc
https://gtsltd.co.uk/about/

to transport a p1 or similar all you need is a $15,000 enclosed raceshuttle type trailer & any 4x4 can tow it easily
https://gtsltd.co.uk/turatello-trailers/

im not sure id like to start a business dealing with the types of folk who own theses cars in Cambodia though......

is there really no existing providers for this work here ?

Can you imagine the cost here. Would it be cost effective (It would have been for the buyer of this P1). But how many customers would you have.

IF you look at the facebook photos in the link it is a slide and tilt covered car transporter,so someone is already in the car moving game.
