Ukrainian Man VLADYSLAV SKYBIN Held After 2 Die in Fatal Accident

Kampong Speu, Cambodia News: A fatal traffic accident occurred at 10:46pm, on March 22, 2019, along National Highway No.151 in Kampong Speu province, when a foreigner driving a RX300 hit a Honda motorbike, killing two people. The foreign driver has been identified as VLADYSLAV SKYBIN , a 31-year-old Ukrainian man living in Cambodia.

The victims, two young men aged 20 and 17, were killed instantly at the accident scene. Their bodies have been returned to the families for funeral rites.

The Ukrainian man was taken into custody for questioning by police and his vehicle has been impounded.

Not knowing what happened here, driving is a dangerous occupation in Cambodia. People just pull out in front of vehicles, and expect the vehicles to stop. They also ride in the dark without lights and expect people to see them.

True that, but looking at the damage I should think that the driver did not adjust his speed to the conditions.

Looks like pulled out right in front of the car and got hit at a right angle, sheering off the front fork completely. All the damage to the car is the left corner from the license plate to the left wheel well...in the spot where a bike pulling in front of a speeding car would be hit.
