Body of murdered woman found in Battambang canal

BATTAMBANG - The body of a 33 year old woman was recovered from a Battambang canal, located in Rong Chey commune, Sangke district, this morning around 11am. It was found by local villagers who called the police. The woman's neck was bruised with marks consistent with strangulation, and police immediately began looking for the criminal.
They did not have to search very far before they found the woman's husband, who was interrogated, and then arrested for killing his wife.
The motive for the murder remains unexplained.
