Body of Woman Crab Collector Found in Rice Paddy

Kandal province, Cambodia News: The body of a 45-year-old woman crab collector was discovered on November 21, 2019, lying in a rice field located in Trapeang Prasat village, Ponhea Leu district, Kandal province. The woman had been attacked around the head with a machete, while she was out collecting crabs to sell. Her crab bucket was found next to the body.
According to a Ponhea Leu district police officer, the prime suspect for the killing is the woman's husband, Khouth Sophal, a 46-year-old Cambodian national, who has disappeared and is on the run from police.
