- Five karaoke parlours were temporarily closed yesterday in Phnom Penh’s Por Senchey district after night-time breakdowns in security and public order, authorities said.
Yin Kea, Por Senchey district deputy governor, said yesterday that he led a group of authorities to close the parlours after an investigation showed they often caused problems with arguments, fighting and disorder.
“Their activities are affecting our culture because many women stand in front of their shops to attract the men or guests,” he said.
The closed parlours are Sen Alai II KTV, Vichit Thmey KTV, Srey Lomdab KTV, Rasmey Maida KTV and Mean Leap KTV.
