Sihanoukville: Chinese puzzle, one arrested, five escape.

As part of the on-going crackdown on internet scammers, a majority of them Chinese nationals, Sihanoukville police raided a rental house in Group 3, Village 2, Sangkat No 3, Sihanoukville at 10:30am on 21 August.

On the premises they found three laptops and some equipment used for money transfers as well as two Lexus RX300 with Phnom Penh number plates.

One Chinese national, male, identified as Wang Chao aged 30 was arrested on the spot, but five other members of the gang got up early that morning and escaped. They are currently sought by Sihanoukville police.

Interesting progression.
The recent busts have been large numbers crammed into a guesthouse, which would raise suspicions as to what they're all doing in there.
In this case, 6 Chinese guys living in a regular house doesn't look too abnormal. Also possible they are hooked up online with other low profile operations dotted around the place ?
Making a killing with online scamming would also explain the huge premiums they're paying for rental accommodation in Snooky. Landlords are loving it.
