Englishman MARK SMITH (Golden Bridge International School Vice Principal) Arrested in Cambodia for Child Sex Crimes

CAMBODIA NEWS: Mark Smith, a 39 year old British national and Vice Principal of Golden Bridge International School in Phnom Penh has been arrested on allegations of child sex crimes involving a 5 year old Cambodian girl who is a student at his school. Mark Andrew Smith has since been officially charged and sent to Prey Sar Prison in Phnom Penh to await trial.

Mark Andrew Smith was arrested by police while leaving the school after the girl's parents made a complaint to Golden Bridge Int. School that Mr. Smith had taken their daughter to his home and molested her. The parents were not the ones to involve the police, but they went to the school to complain to the principal, who is Cambodian, and after their complaint a Cambodian woman who goes by the name of "Viriya MC" and claims to be an executive producer at MediaOne Kh posted a video on social media talking about the crimes that Mark Smith allegedly committed against the 5-year-old student. That video was posted on July 20, and Mr. Smith was arrested the next day on July 21 while leaving the school.
The graphic allegations describe how he brought the girl to his house and licked her private parts, as that's all he could do because she was so small. When these allegations first broke, the name of the school was kept a secret, but after the arrest, an official from the Ministry of Interior told the media that the school where Mark Smith worked at was Golden Bridge International School in Toul Kork, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
According to his social media profile profiles, Mark Andrew Smith from England (Gorleston in Norfolk, England, on the south of Great Yarmouth) was born on September 24, 1977 and moved to Siem Reap in 2007, and started working at Smart Kids International School in Siem Reap in 2011, and in August 2014 he moved to Phnom Penh to work at Golden Bridge International School as Vice Principal, which is the same title he still holds at the school at the time of his arrest.
Mr. Mark Smith has publicly posted a lot of images of half-naked children on social media, although two of the children do appear to be his own. And while it is clear Mr Smith and his ex-wife are now separated, he is raising their 2 children with the help of his 18 year old nanny and has very recently applied for his children to get British passports.
As of right now, Mark Smith has been arrested by Cambodian authorities for alleged sexual abuse of a 5-year-old female student and Golden Bridge International School of Phnom Penh has not made any public statements about the arrest yet.

"she says that the mother and father of the 5-year-old told her that they (the mother and father) had noticed a discharge on their daughter's underwear during the last week. Viriya MC asked them to inspect the discharge by smelling it and describing it's color. The color of the discharge was yellow, and the smell was unpleasant. Viriya MC then tells the mother and father this smell and color is due to an infection and this infection is due to sexual activity. Viriya MC then tells the parents to go to a clinic to get the child checked and went with them. There they ascertain that it is from sexual activity but not penetration as the child is too small, she's 5.
(1:40) They all then coax/comfort/persuade gradually or gently the child to tell them what had happened.
Viriya MC asks in Khmer, but the child didn't answer because she studies at an International school, so she asks in English. The child says "teacher" took her. Viriya MC asks where? Child says "took her house/ Viriya MC says imitating the child "at house." (Not clear whose house/home). How many people? 2 people. "This is rape, sexual infringement with intention by a foreigner. The mother and father are not bold/brave enough to press charges, because of the possible implications on the child, so they go and meet the Khmer director of the school, a modern, International, expensive school; 1 year $1800 for kindergarten. Most people can't afford this. People who do they presume schools are safe... Less than a year ago, they arrested another foreigner, when they went to his residence it was full of children's shoes. It's not just little girls they rape, little boys too.
Viriya MC then urges parents to be careful and vigilant. Don't be too trusting. Don't just thinking foreigners, foreigners, don't trust them. Before kids go to school, tell them not to go off with strangers or take your clothes off. Every day kids should tell their parents what has happened to them. Viriya MC then goes off in one saying she was tearful, shivering with anger. Repeats her admonishment. Repeats her accusations and warnings against foreigner teachers. Again refers to the shoe fetishist (Clive Cressy) case, again saying he was a pedophile teacher.
Then she if school director just sacks the man in this case he'll just go to another school and continue."

UPDATE July 28, 2017: Mark Smith, the vice-principal of the Golden Bridge International School of Phnom Penh has been provisionally charged with 'indecent assault with aggravating circumstances' against a minor, a 5 year old female student at his school, and has made his first public statement since his arrest earlier this week, stating, "I'm innocent 100%!" Here is a video of his statement leaving court today:

his Khmer wife deserted him,left him with two kids to bring up.Im sure if he was a kiddy fiddler he would not be the devoted person he is.Other than that I drink with the guy and I know he ain't capable of this.
