Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Drugs and comedy are both great. In moderation.

Comedian and Friends Go to Court
On the afternoon of May 21, 2020, the Phnom Penh Municipal Court heard the closing arguments in the case of former comedian Neang Khmum and her young friends, who were arrested and taken into custody after a police raid in a Daun Penh bar on 16 May 2020. The bar is located on National road 5. Thirteen small sachets of a white powder drug and some drug-using equipment was seized on the premises.
One of the group was released to go home after law enforcement officials confirmed that they had not been using drugs. The other suspects will be sent to a drug rehabilitation center for treatment.

Re: Cambodian Comedy Star in Police Drug Bust
A rather sad update:
Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: Former actress and singer, Neang Khmeb (or Khmum), has had a public breakdown on leaving the rehabilitation correction center where she was sentenced to treatment for drug use in May 2020.
At 12:30am on December 8, 2020, along National Road 6, at the point on the old Chroy Changva bridge in Srah Chak commune, Daun Penh district, the veteran actress and singer was heartbroken and had a serious mental crisis, so she decided to walk to the old Chroy Changva bridge and jump into the water, but she did not succeed because the people stopped her in time.
Prior to the incident, a woman known as the veteran comedian, Khmeb, was seen walking up the bridge with tears in her eyes, halfway through the bridge, crying for a while and trying to climb over the side.
Fortunately, some people prevented her from hurting herself, and when they asked what was wrong, Ms. Khmeb told her story: she said that she had just come out of the correctional facility, that she was desperate and she had nowhere to go, and no one cared to help her, so she decided to end her life. She said that she just wants to be called to perform and sing in restaurants once again like she used to do.

Re: Cambodian Comedy Star in Police Drug Bust
Why would you choose to use this phrase for this young lady and why are you not using it more often when you see these poor wretches being arrested for minute amounts of drugs and sentenced to prison for many years ?
Generally CEO news gloats most of the when it comes to this type of story it's very confusing.

Thank you for the feedback. Of course it's confusing for us too. Nothing is black and white. Meth is doing a lot of harm to a lot of people. People who sell meth are contributing to the problem. Yet, many of them are victims.flea wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 2:09 amWhy would you choose to use this phrase for this young lady and why are you not using it more often when you see these poor wretches being arrested for minute amounts of drugs and sentenced to prison for many years ?

Most reports go straight on here, translated from Khmer news without comment, but sometimes CEO News has a little "human moment", as above.

Re: Cambodian Comedy Star in Police Drug Bust
I think what he's referring to is about why you used the word sad update?
To me and probably few others think they people do have a choice, to do good or to do bad...
look at her, she's a stardom, fame, money, fancy car, fancy house, lots of followers... Compared to me, ordinary, no fancy reputation, no fancy car, no fancy clothes, no fancy House...Do I take any bloody drug or cigarettes? No...
Or were you saying that the phrase was actually the meaning of translation from the article? If that's the case, I'm sorry and you should update at such from the beginning, quoted from etc or begin with ' so reader would know it's quoted from a source and not your personal update
