Phnom Penh: Cambodian Prime Minister HE, one of the world's longest serving rulers after more than three decades in power, is in hospital in Singapore, he said on his Facebook page on Thursday.

HE, 64, said he had fallen ill because he was very tired and needed urgent medical treatment. He said he had been in hospital since Wednesday, but planned to return to Cambodia on Sunday to resume work as normal.

I'm kind of shocked he'd want these pictures circulating. He looks bad, with an IV hanging out his arm. I would have guessed he'd do it all behind closed doors and just tell everyone he's getting routine medical stuff done.

Could it be a way to let everyone gradually know he's getting ready to step down?

I genuinely wish him a speedy recovery - but I'd say that his lip on one side seems to be drooping...

There are often pictures on his Facebook page of him taking check-ups. He looks rough in those pictures though, that's what you get after carrying a country on your shoulders for decades.

imagine what your average khmer will think when they see that picture? he is human,has a caring family,look even a drip like 98% of normal people have and he has an iphone with a very gay pink charging cable!
