Cambodia News​​​​​​​ (Pursat): At 21:30 on 8 March 2023, the Deputy Director of the Cardamom Forestry Administration, Mao Chanthou Dara, drove his car into a motorbike, killing one person and seriously injuring two others on National Road 155, in Pursat City, Pursat Province.

According to the police, Mao Chanthou Dara was driving a silver Highlander(Phnom Penh 2BB-8135) at high speed when he collided with the motorcycle. The Deputy Director of the Cardamom Forestry Administration is said to be at fault.
The deceased victim of the accident is a 16-year-old youth, Sok Mean, who was driving the motorbike, and the two passengers, Heng Sophanath and Choeun Vichet were seriously injured and taken to Pursat Provincial Hospital

The vehicles have been kept at the Pursat City Police Inspectorate to build a case for legal action. According to the latest report, Mao Chanthou Dara, is negotiating with the families of the victims to resolve the question of compensation in exchange for ending the case.
