Phnom Penh, Cambodia: A foreign woman who appears to be from Africa was hysterical after being robbed near the Russian Market.

She was walking alone when 4 men on 2 motorbikes came by her and snatched her bag, knocking her down onto the ground in the process.

They got away and she started yelling in the streets, and even got down on the ground and was crawling around while crying.

This robbery happened at the corner of Street 460 and Street 155 around 12:30AM on October 26.

She said that she had 2 passports, house keys, ATM cards, a smartphone and $1,800 in her bag that was stolen.

There's not much open in TTP at that time of the morning, wonder what she was doing walking around alone with passports and $1800 cash (exaggerated I'm sure!)

So much garbage all over the streets there! Is all of TTP such a shithole?

According to this, the victim was Vera Bangwa, a 48yo woman from Sierra Leone. Two guys on an unmarked motorbike came up behind her and snatched her bag. Whatever she was doing walking around after midnight, she is the victim of a snatch and grab by professional thieves (note the unmarked motorbike.) She is said to have been hysterical, but she may have been walking around with everything she owned in her bag ?

Not at all. I'd guess that video was taken down the street a bit (from the 460/155 corner described) right by the market.

Even more video footage of her going crazy and riding on the back of a moto with police to the police station.

and maybe the buyer wanted their cash back to buy more diamonds with? Why use more dollars when you can keep using the same dollars?
