It sounds like all the Khmer media has his name wrong, as per usual.

According to his ID that was found on him at the time of his fatal accident, his name is Philip Lee Powell.

Very unfortunate, and may he rest in peace.

The ability of Khmer media to get English names wrong is astonishing.
DAP news here http://bit.ly/2egGLBa manage to get his name wrong and the model of the motorcycle wrong too, "Air black"...even when both the victim's name is clearly visible on his ID and the motos model name is on the side of the bike in the photos.
Incredible.

Truly unbelievable.

It's made it to the press back in the UK:

"A MAN from Poole has died following a motorcycle crash in Cambodia.

Phil Powell's body was discovered by Cambodian Police officers on Saturday morning in the Sihanouk Province, on the very western edge of the country."

Happier days, photo from Fb page. RIP. To all his mates and his family, sorry for your loss.

Also from Fb, says that Phil had previously worked in PP as a bar manager on 136st, so there may be people he knew in PP that haven't heard yet.
