Study Exposes Abuse of Trans Cambodians

Two weeks ago, a small group of transgender women were sitting on the riverfront in Siem Reap City when a group of police officers arrived and told them to get up and go away. It was an act of blatant discrimination, harassing them for being in a public space, but only routine.

... yet some of these men-turned-ladies work in gay revues in Siem Reap and some (not all) are
available for romantic dalliance. It used to be (this information is now probably way out of date)
that those seeking such encounters needed to cruise around in front of the supermarket under X-Bar
at the corner of SokSan and Sivutha.

It's probably a pretty grim life and few of us would envy them.
