The Third Time Police Warned Mr. Butterfly Happy Hour Bar's Owner Over Loud Music
Phnom Penh, Cambodia: Police went to a foreigner oriented girlie bar under the direct order from the deputy district governor to make a contract for the third time as well as the last time over their loud music. Police went to the bar around 3:50 pm on 05 September 2016 after having received complaints from the bar's neighbors.
The Mr. Butterfly Happy Hour Hostess Bar is located along street number 3 corner of street 136 in Phsar Kandal I, Daun Penh district, Phnom Penh.
The deputy district governor said this is the third time and also the last time he will receive a warning after the bar owner had singed a contract two times already and didn't act accordingly. He said if the owner didn't obey the contract again, he would take away their business license and close down their business.
The governor added that making the contract with the owner happened after many people living nearby the bar complained about the loud music that the bar played during the night, especially from 12:00 am onwards. It disturbed their living environment.
Police said the owner of the bar is a foreigner who is married to a Cambodian woman.
