Italian Tourist Carlo Gatti Arrested For Visa Overstay of 34 Days in Sihanoukville, Cambodia

Sihanoukville, Cambodia: Carlo Gatti, a 60 year old Italian man from Como, has been arrested for illegally overstaying his tourist visa by 34 days.
Mr Gatti entered Cambodia from Thailand at the Koh Kong border crossing on July 7 and his 30-day tourist visa expired on August 2. However, he did not leave on or before August 2 and did not extend his visa, deciding to stay in Cambodia illegally.
He was in Sihanoukville at the time of his arrest and has been sent to the Immigration Department for legal proceedings.
