Cop Charged over Nudes of Singer
A police officer with the Ministry of Interior was charged by the Phnom Penh Municipal Court on Saturday for allegedly posting nude photos of singer Vann Nila on Facebook in June, according to a court clerk.
Lieutenant Colonel Kuy Saksith, 26, who works with the general department of prisons at the Interior Ministry, was charged after failing to appear for questioning as summoned, said Sok Kimseng, a clerk at the court.
“He was charged by the prosecutor with posting the nude photos on Facebook and intentional acts of violence,” he said.
“His case has now been transferred to the investigating judge for further legal action according to the law.”
Mr. Saksith was sued by Ms. Nila, his ex-girlfriend and a singer with Pleng Records, over allegations he posted nude photos and nude video clips of her on Facebook in June, the clerk added...
