A criminal gang of pick-pocketers were arrested by police in Siem Reap on August 16 2016.

Unfortunate, but pretty standard practice. The beggar kids at Phsar Toul Tom Poung have been doing it for years. They tend to target tourist women, who, because they are kids, tend to allow them to get closer than they would allow an adult, even touching the kids and allowing the kids to crawl on her. And while the tourist woman is cooing and saying 'oh, they're so cute,' little Sophea is behind her pulling the wallet and camera out of her bag.

This has been going on for years, and nothing was ever done about it.
I would say they are cleaning up town but this week I saw the milk-powder scammers were back after they had disappeared for a few weeks.
