USB-stick

Post by Jaap N. »

One of my usb-sticks is 'invisible' when plugged into my computer. It doesn't appear in Finder. I use a Macbook Air.
What should I do?

1) Unplug it, plug it in

2) Try a different slot

3) pull it out, restart, try a different slot

4) open it in disk utility and see if you can see in there

That's what I'd try.
The cedar roasted asparagus has good chew. I don't know how to enjoy it, so I'll Instagram it instead.

Try a PRAM reset first then SMC reset if PRAM doesn't fix it...

Did both, both with the usb-stick in the computer and without and sticking it in later. Result: still not visible.

OD: I will have the usb-stick tried on a Windows-computer.

Cheers, guys!

Try plugging something else that you know works into your Macbook Air's USB slots... to make sure they work too. Hopefully the USB stick is just bad, or has some wierd formatting thing that Mac OSx can't read.

All my other sticks work perfectly fine, I guess this one is just fucked, but like I said before, I will have it tried on a Windows computer tomorrow. There's some really nice files on it, that I'd like to retrieve. It's not the end of the world though if it still doesn't work, obviously, it's just annoying.
