One of my usb-sticks is 'invisible' when plugged into my computer. It doesn't appear in Finder. I use a Macbook Air.
What should I do?

Thanks, FS, tried it all, to no avail...FreeSocrates! wrote:1) Unplug it, plug it in
2) Try a different slot
3) pull it out, restart, try a different slot
4) open it in disk utility and see if you can see in there
That's what I'd try.

Did both, both with the usb-stick in the computer and without and sticking it in later. Result: still not visible.FreeSocrates! wrote:Try a PRAM reset first then SMC reset if PRAM doesn't fix it...

Try plugging something else that you know works into your Macbook Air's USB slots... to make sure they work too. Hopefully the USB stick is just bad, or has some wierd formatting thing that Mac OSx can't read.Jaap N. wrote:Did both, both with the usb-stick in the computer and without and sticking it in later. OD: I will have the usb-stick tried on a Windows-computer.
Cheers, guys!
