Anti Virus

I have 3 laptops being used by 4 kids, [3 girls plus myself] that have Norton 360 antivirus installed and have had no problems. If I buy a I-pad / tablet, do I need to install a antivirus system in it.? I ask because I have never heard of it being installed in phones and tablets etc.

OK, now tell me why it's a dumb question.

If you connect to the internet, you need antivirus.

I asked a 'Senior Officer' at work recently if he had an anti-virus on his laptop. He gave me a strange look then said, "But it's a Mac".
I told him he should still install an AV.
He installed Clamav (it's free), and was surprised when it found 2 Trojans. He now runs a daily scan.

Nice comment: 'This app breaches more security risks than it helps'. Really encouraging to download it. Lol, what's your experience with it, General?

I happen to download apps from all over the place, and a few times it's alerted me to unwanted programs...

Personally, if you download ANY apps, your "security" is already breached beyond comprehension.

Almost every one wants access to your location and contacts these days...

True, I downloaded it. It also has a device finding feature. Another neat feature is the 'Scream'; works even when volume is turned off. Nice. Thanks. :hattip:
