Good points.
Hackers and scammers are getting more sophisticated all the time and adapting very well to new tools like "smart home" devices.
Moreover, anti-virus software isn't enough, neither is going through a VPN.
Self-education is key.

The attitude of individuals and organisations needs to change in order to prevent cyber attacks. There has to be a fundamental understanding that, when online, everyone is a target and that none of us are too small or unimportant.

The article missed one most important tip that everyone should begin with: do not use Windows. Anything else comes after that.

an amazing tool, I just did it last week, waited the 2 days to be able to delete tons of shit I never knew i had on my machines ( win7) but feel safer and my machine runs faster and the screen is brighter.

You do know that Windows 7 is no longer receiving support (including security updates / patches) from Microsoft?

You do know that Windows 7 is no longer receiving support (including security updates / patches) from Microsoft?
yes, as of last week, but as i have not received any updates for over 10 years, doesn't bother me, it works fine on one of my laptops
have windows 10 on the other one and prefer 7

How come you never received updates? I checked my update log and received over 40 updates last year alone.
