DIGI

Post by Arget »

Over the last month I have had many outages lasting from an hour or two to half a day. They claim their uplink was down.
This is now almost a daily event.
Is anyone else having any issues with them.?
I am in the Kandal Market area.

I use Smart @Home, it's the muts nuts, cheap, fast speed, home delivery, no installation required, no cables, etc. Pay with SmartLuy/scratch card, couldn't be easier.

I got an SMS from Digi during the month saying they were experiencing outages as EDC had cut their landline from Vietnam - skeptical, but appreciated the SMS anyway.

I've had Digi for 8 months. It's been pretty good until last week. Service went out for several hours on the 5th. Got an SMS on the 6th blaming EDC.
Since then the connection has been up and down about every 5 minutes. They don't answer the phone, the recorded messages cuts off before giving you a chance to leave a customer number and phone number and they don't respond to the online contact form.
Completely bloody useless, but TIC.

What's the upload speed like on Smart@home? Web says 0.5Mbps up to 6Mbps which is laughable. Digi mostly averages 50-100Mbps upload and 15Mbps down.
Can you get a static IP with Smart@home? No mention of it on the FAQ.
How's Opennet these days?
Any other options worth considering?
