Modem wanted

Does anyone have a modem I could buy for small money? My Opennet one has failed and they won't replace it without charging me for the new one. A second hand one will be fine.

Your modem needs replacing,,,, This is a common scam by the Open net tec guy. Every time I have problems the tec guy that comes tells me the same story. Infact the last time he came he dropped it so I told him he broke it , now replace it for free.

To be more accurate, I need a modem/router. The one supplied by opennet (that is now kaput) is the tp link td-w8951nd.
At first opennet wanted to charge me $29 for a new one, then they changed to offering me a free one if I pay for 6 more months upfront. As I already have 7 months credit, I'd rather get my own. They have offered to fit it for free.

ok it's a combined unit, and it's their property (probably has a sticker on it stating this), so yeah it's their problem not yours. Take it to their office and ask for a replacement.

Another ISP tried this on me, I asked to speak to the manager, they caved.

I never had a problem with them, my line was running like shit maybe a year or two back and they replaced the router/modem thing for free.
