Cellcard 4G

Post by kiwiincambodia »

I went today to swap my cellcard SIM for their new 4G SIM and have to say I am impressed with the results.

Apparently it is only in Phnom Penh at the moment but will be in certain provinces by the end of the year.

Let's hope it gets better as they expand.

Seems to be sustained. I haven't gone below that since the change.

I'm very impressed

Are you paying more for that? I can't find any pricing details on their website, seems to be a free upgrade... that can't be right?

Faster data connections are usually a free upgrade (or maybe a minimal SIM charge) - they make their money, theoretically, as you use more data when it's faster...

No I just use the inet3 package. $5 for 3.5GB.

Normally I do 2 of them a month so pay $10 a month for 7GB

I've noticed that their 3G (they used to call it 3.5G) service, which I've been using for almost 5 years, has totally gone to shit over the past few months. Maybe much of their infrastructure is starting to be used for the new 4G LTE. Damn. Need to buy new devices.
I am sooooo very sorry if you can't understand or appreciate my sarcastic facetiousness.
