Cambodia Theme Adventure Park in Spain
New Cambodia themed adventure park set for Valencia
By James Warren -
6 October 2019 @ 12:15
A NEW tropical rainforest themed adventure park has been given the go ahead by the mayor of Valencia Joan Ribó.
The park will be constructed as part of the already established Bioparc complex and will take its inspiration from the rainforests of Cambodia.
The plan was proposed by the company that currently manages the park, Rain Forest, with an aim to bring the lush vegetation and temples of Angkor to Spain’s Mediterranean coast.
The head of Rain Forest, José Maldonado, said the project would be aiming for a “very natural” look, with “semi-ruined” buildings like the famous temples in Cambodia.
Ribo expressed his satisfaction with the proposals given to him by the organisation and believes it will be an “important step” towards “completing the range of attractions for families and young people in the city”.
The mayor has given his assurance that the project will now go “full steam ahead” to add the finishing touches to the Parque de Cabecera area of Valencia.
Maldonado has reiterated the main aims of the park are not only to be “interesting for the people of the city, both environmentally friendly and cultural” but it will also have to be financially viable as the whole project will involve €25 million of private investments.
The local government has given the assurances to local farmers who have land surrounding the four hectare plot that their plots will be fully restored to full use once the construction is complete and that disruption will be kept at a minimum.
