Melbourne to Phnom Penh $286 Return

Post by LaudJohn »

Just had a look at airfares for a friend who was interested in flying round trip from Melbourne (Avalon) to Phnom Penh in mid April for a couple of weeks.

The return fare was $402 Aussie plus booking fee (carry on only, no meals). No more than 3 hours wait at KLIA2 each way.

Bloody cheap.

Good point BIM. Watch those booking sites.
Please be advised that Bestjet.com has gone into voluntary administration as of late December 2018.

Internet booking site bestjet-com has crashed out leaving a lot of people in the shit. Seems it was because the booking site has not paid the airlines for the tickets that were booked with them online. So tough luck if you have paid for a plane ticket with this site, because bestjet took your money but didn't pay the airline for your ticket, so your seat has been canceled and resold. :BangHead:
They say the bestjet-com site was run by a notorious Aussie scammer couple, already involved in shady dealings. If that's correct, its bloody shameful.
And don't forget, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

Air Asia has often had AU $199 fares SYD-KUL in the past though, they have sales all the time, just have to look out for them and usually book several months ahead. I'm surprised this one is for April.
