It seems weird to say it, but I really enjoy this place. It’s quiet, serene and they have handled a terrible subject with incredible sensitivity.

Last time I visited was three years ago and you had to avoid stepping on bones and pieces of fabric on the paths. Now the chilling signs asking guests to “please don’t step on the bones” have been replaced by wooden walkways.

Yeah, where you want it?

I was there last year when a relative was visiting. I was there a few times before but way back, I was wondering when those walkways were put in. I guess it's a good idea or the whole place would end up flattened. There's a nice dam around a lake you can walk around that wasn't there before. There are a lot of birds around so it's quite a pleasant place to stroll around. The audio-tour and film are pretty lame though. The film is narrated by a British guy with who can obviously speak perfectly good English, but he must have been told to stick to the script written by a local with loads of grammar issues etc so it sounds ridiculous.

is there still peoples bones and stuff lying around? ive never actually been inside yet, i will get around to it one day

Have to go again. The last time I was there was 2004 and it was total countryside and the road leading there was terrible.

When I went a couple of years ago there were parts of the path where small bone and clothing fragments were sticking out of the ground everywhere. If they have built more walkways then that's good.

i went once, back in 2006, took a long time on a dirt road, found it very depressing seeing that is was just normal countryside yet such terrible things happened there. at that time there were no other tourists walking around.I did enjoy visiting the local school next door thou.



Unlike tuol sleng, at least my daughter would walk around, the prison she refused to go inside
