Latest trip

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

Latest trip

Post by phuketrichard »

7,400 kms in 42 days

Phuket- Hua Hin- Ayuthaya- Chiang Mai- Chiang Rai-Phu Chi Fa-Nan-Chiang Khan (if u have not been - go before its spoiled, lovely old thai town on the Mekong)-Surin- Siem Rep ( no temples this trip)- Steung Treng- up to the Khong Phapheng waterfalls ( Beautiful ) below 4,000 islands - Banlung- Sen Monorom- PP- Kep- Svay Rieng- PP- Pailin- Cha am- Phuket

All in all, visited some old favorites and some new places ( eastern Cambodia) the roads in northern an eastern Cambodia are great an very little traffic, would be great on a road bike, forest is being removed very fast. New homes going up everywhere!!
Kep- Kampot, in the past 2 years has doubled in size for expats, ( Kep went from 50 resorts, gh's to over 120) find to hard to believe the many (way to many) gh,resorts, restaurants even break even during the low season.

Only got stuck 3 times in the mud, on roads i should not have been on but i love to travel by car, wouldn't have it any other way.

Comments are always welcome. adventures??? next back to Myanmar and a motorcycle trip thru the Chin State

Really amazing pics, Richard! I'm always impressed with my Samsung Note pics, until I see pics like these.

What happens when you "get stuck"? Just wait around for some helpful rubber-neckers or what?
