Restaurant opening - they sure do things differently here!

Post by rozzieoz »

A friend's sister opened a restaurant last night in Otres Village, so off we went to the grand opening.

It was like someone told them yesterday afternoon that they had to open a week early- nothing was finished.

No menu, so we asked for s selection which was awesome fish, awful fried rice with beef and average lol lak.

They were opening a restaurant but seemed to put no thought whatsoever into the food.

The place was empty, concrete had hardly dried on an internal wall, it just all looked so unfinished.

The restaurant guests (our friend and her friends) ended up cooking - we sat at the table while they all socialized in the kitchen lol.

But the absolute best was when the new owners were ready to eat- they had food delivered from elsewhere!!!!
That blew our minds.

Hahahaha that's a Kingdom of Wonder moment for sure.

Sometimes you just have to laugh and go with the flow.

At least the fish was awesome, as you say.

I think this might be about fortunetelling thing. So the fortuneteller might have told her that she would have good business if she opens on this or that day.

More like a '' Kingdom of Wonder Why '', moment
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Its funny ay Roz? In Oz, we class barracuda as a "mother-in-law" fish, which is to say if you go fishing and catch some good fish and a barracuda, the 'cuda is what you give to the mil to shut her up and you keep the good fish for yourself and friends!
Since I've been over here though, I've developed a real taste for it. It's not Red Emperor or Coral Trout, but its a bloody nice fish to mung on ay!
