Its not cheap, but I pay the little extra to travel Bangkok Air. You get to set in their lounge at PP airport and eat/drink for a couple hours. You get a complete meal in flight and your treated like a person not cattle. The big plus over Airasia other than the issues mentioned is that you get to land at Big Swamping and not the old airport. Connectivity with ground transport is so much better at Big Swampy. You can even take the sky-train into town or Bell Travel to your hotel in Patts.

Now if the big man (who is owned by the Vietnamese) would just sign the paperwork (Angok Air owned 49% by Vietnam air won't let him), we would have Cambodia Air (owned 49% by the owners of Philippine air.) We could probably get cheap flights to and from Snooky, BBK, Singapore, and my hope BBK-Snooky, Singapore-Snooky. Philippine air has airplanes setting on the runways in the Philippine waiting to start flying in Cambo.

Just booked a return flight to Bangkok a couple of days ago.
Had planned on flying AirAsia, but the Travel Agent suggested Cambodia Angkor Air.

AirAsia would have cost $139 + $30 for luggage + $6 for insurance. Total $175 (without a meal).

Cambodia Angkor cost $155 (includes luggage, insurance and an in flight meal).

CAA is occasionally cheaper and it's way better to fly into BKK because of the ARL. If it's close they're my choice. It's easy to hate Air Asia, but they're so fucking cheap. Middle of next month I'm looking at $100 (all in) RT on FD vs > $200 on K6. I never check baggage unless I'm smuggling bottles over to my wine starved friends in BKK. So that isn't an issue. PG is way too expensive to PNH, but a good deal to REP. I only fly them once in awhile when they do a BOGO with Amex or Visa.
