Strange death of French guy in Surat Thani

Strange death: guy and his girlfriend were traveling back to Koh Tao where he was working as a diving instructor - so, presumably in good health. He leaves his girlfriend to go buy some stuff for the boat trip and never returns. He is found dead 2 weeks later in a remote spot with his shorts off, but not a mark on him. Maybe he went to a quiet spot for a dump and died (heart attack??)
At least they found the body.His gf must have been freaking out. RIP.

The body of a Frenchman who has been missing for two weeks was discovered today in Surat Thani, according to police.

Jean-francois Louet, 46, mysteriously disappeared after going to find a convenience store before he was due to travel by ferry to Koh Tao with his girlfriend on the night of Monday 14th March.

His body was discovered on Tuesday at around 11.30am in a banana plantation behind Thidamaepra School in the Talard area of Surat Thani with his shorts removed and laid two meters away from the corpse.

An initial examination of his body by a medical examiner at the scene found no wounds or injuries and said he had been dead for around 15 days...
