Great news for those that bank in Thailand and transfer money out

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

I wouldn't trust DeeMoney further than I could throw them, which is somewhere between 0-1cm. Caveat emptor.

There are waaay too many reports of problems I have seen on various forums. Incoming to Thailand, I use Transferwise. Outgoing...I just spend it all so I never have to repatriate any back.

From the states i find using a direct wire transfer from my Citibank account to my scb account cheaper than transferwise

Yes, a lot of the brokerage accounts too will do very cheap or even free Wire Transfers, but many will not do them if you arent physically present. With the low cost of living here and in Thailand and my lack of desire to have a lot of money stashed in Asian banks, I just use transferwise to drop what I need in my account when I need it. Especially in Cambodia with $10 foreign ATM fees.
