Dutch Pensioner Selling Watches in Thailand. Scam or not?
Pensioner’s plea! Thais have robbed me blind and I can’t get home
3 October 2018
A Dutch man who claimed to be 70 years old was pictured sitting next to signs saying he had been robbed by Thais.
The signage posted by a Thai on Facebook suggested this pensioner had lost 50,000 baht.
Now he had no ticket back to Holland. His embassy wouldn’t help.
So he was asking passersby to buy his watches – knocked down from 250 baht to 200 baht.
Comments from people online showed little sympathy. Some doubted the veracity of his claims.
Some inquired as to the brand of the watches receiving lots of smiley faces.

I think its a scam, because he get at least about $900 old age pension a month. So buying a ticket should no problem at all.
There are people who cannot imagine that there are other ways of life than their own life.

A good sign the West is going broke and not looking after its own people but hiring Pakistan, Arabs, and Africans instead of locals.hanno wrote: ↑Fri Oct 05, 2018 4:53 amHow do you know he gets a pension? Yeah trapper, school us on economics.A good sign the West is going broke and not looking after its own people but hiring Pakistan, Arabs, and Africans instead of locals.
What does it matter when Oz is mostly a series of holes in the ground and a cow/sheep paddock in terms of economy.
there were like 7 million ppl in 1947 and now about 23 mill and guess what?
nearly all immigrants.
Prosperous educated societies breed below population replacement.
what jobs are the brownies taking from you?
IT?
I never saw many of them in menial labor in Oz during my time which is more years than you are old.
They don't allow menial brownies unless they are backpackers.
They save that for the yokels who don't want to dole bludge.
like you. you should be grateful for immigrants.

The West comprises hundreds of different (previous) nationalities and ethnic groups. New York is The Melting Pot or Salad Bowl. Perhaps you mean < mod edit - offensively racist term >? Not that that's offensive in any way.Beerinthemorning wrote: ↑Fri Oct 05, 2018 5:05 amA good sign the West is going broke and not looking after its own people but hiring Pakistan, Arabs, and Africans instead of locals.hanno wrote: ↑Fri Oct 05, 2018 4:53 amHow do you know he gets a pension?
