Tourist wanted over stabbing of Australian in Thailand flees country

Bangkok: Thai police say an Israeli tourist wanted over the stabbing of an Australian man at a nightclub in the seaside resort of Pattaya has fled the country.

Immigration officials informed police that the male suspect had left Thailand, The Nation newspaper reported on Friday.

Jaydon Sienkiewicz, 21, was stabbed in the Mixx Discotheque at about 4.30am on Thursday while partying with a group of 10 people including his father and Thai stepmother.

He suffered abdominal wounds and was rushed to a local hospital.

Police captain Sombat Kaewmoolsuk told The Nation that security video showed the Australian sitting at a table in the nightclub when the Israeli walked in with his girlfriend.

He said Sienkiewicz grabbed the girlfriend's bottom, leading to a dispute which resulted in the Israeli pulling a knife and stabbing the Australian.

It appears there is a lot more to the story of the Australian national, Jaydon Sienkiewicz, 21, being stabbed at Mixx Disco on Walking Street in South Pattaya.

Unlike what was originally told to the police by the victim’s family, Jaydon was NOT stabbed in the restroom but had wandered away from his family who were in a party of ten on his own. They assumed he had gone to the restroom but he had in fact wandered to the opposite side of the disco and as seen on the video below he touched a girl with a man only identified as from Israel.

As seen on the video the man saw the inappropriate touch and lashed out at the man despite the woman with him attempting to hold him back as well as another man nearby. He can clearly be seen on video pulling a knife from his pocket and then stabbing Jaydon in the side. Jaydon, clearly confused pulls up his shirt and only understood when he returned to his family that he had suffered a fairly major stab wound.

Police have interviewed nightclub staff over the incident and will seek an arrest warrant for the Israeli. Thailand has no extradition treaty with Israel.

The Israeli guy took the next plane home, so he's home free. End of story.

But I feel much worse for his friend, Jaydon Sienkiewicz.

Jaydon Sienkiewicz was initially identified in all the press reports as the ass pincher/stabbee.

But it turns out that Jeremy McCall is the ass pincher/stabbee, and that Jaydon Sienkiewicz is merely his friend who gave a statement to the police after the stabbing. The press mixed up the names and reported that Jaydon Sienkiewicz was the ass pincher/stabbee.

Jaydon Sienkiewicz is a pretty unusual name. Now every time he applies for a job and the HR folks google his name, they're going to see mistaken press reports about him being an asshat who grabbed a woman's ass and got stabbed. They might not see the later articles reporting that his friend Jeremy McCall is the ass pincher/stabbee.

If anyone is reading this after googling the name Jaydon Sienkiewicz, please be aware that he is NOT the ass pincher/stabbee on the video. That's his friend Jeremy McCall. Don;t hold that against Jaydon. We all have an idiot friend like that.

The cops know his name, I wonder how. They know he left the country within a few hours.
