Happy Songkran 2024

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Already been drenched and covered in face paint and that was Mai Khao where it's even quieter than usual
If you enjoy noise pollution and obnoxious driving practices, Phnom Penh is the place for you!

This.

I have to admit, that I like it in Thailand, where the water war is lived out at daytime. Unfortunately there are 2 main differences here in Cambodia, which make it quite annoying:
1) The use of that powder
2) not stopping to throw water (and powder) after dusk
Driving on Cambodian roads is just like playing a classic arcade top scroller. The only difference is a force feedback controller, the limitation to only one life and the inability to restart, once Game Over

It's fun again, as always. People get splashed and smashed.

They should have this every month, it's not like it would hurt productivity in Thailand as there's none anyway. 555

Happy Songkran!

True about the dusk curfew, not sure about the white powder, but very few barangs chucking water in Cambodia, and the Khmer don't tend to target barangs unless they look like they want it. That is a major plus for Cambodia.
