Oh dear. Another "Only in Pattaya" moment:
Facebook F*** Up: When She Turns Out To Be a He
Just after midnight on the morning of June 14 a police patrol was sent to the Bella Villa Hotel on Soi 4, Pattaya after reports that a Chinese tourist had been assaulted outside.

In the street three Chinese men were waiting for the police and were accompanied by a Thai lady who was able to give a statement. Twenty-six year old Wilairat Lahkul explained that one of the men, thirty-two year old Hsiao Shun-Wen, had began a Facebook relationship with who he thought was a Thai lady.

It was only after travelling to Thailand and meeting with his online sweetheart that he actually realised she was a he. For some reason an argument started and, before he knew it, he was punched in the face by this charming young thing, who then ran away.

Quite why he chose to report this incident to the police is anybody’s guess. But we are happy to highlight his grievance

In another surprising episode, a Chinese tourist has again complained to the Pattaya police because the lady he arranged to meet online was in fact a ladyboy who attacked him when he refused her advances.

At 5.30pm on the afternoon of July 8 Ms Wanisa Ngam-homcheun-sakul, a thirty-year old Thai Tour Guide company owner accompanied a Chinese business partner to Pattaya Police Station to make a complaint.

Twenty-eight year old Mr Ruxin Song reported that he had been conned and assaulted by a Thai ladyboy and lost property.

Ms Wanisa told officers that her non Thai speaking colleague had arranged online to meet a ‘cute Korean looking lady’ at 3am on July 7 at the View Talay Beach Condominium located next to Hilton Hotel, Central Pattaya.
Waiting in the lobby he could see nobody who looked like her photographs but one person came out of a lift, whom he ignored. Suddenly he was hugged from behind and turned to find a burly looking ladyboy holding on to him. Shocked, he tried to leave but the ladyboy hung onto him until a building security guard, who was watching the CCTV feed, came out to his rescue.
The ladyboy claimed he had spent 1000 baht wasting his time on Mr Song and demanded payment. Mr Song refused and attempted to make a phone call until his cell phone was slapped out of his hand and damaged...

Mr Song, who has a finger injury and a broken cell phone was upset at being conned, threatened and assaulted by this person and called Ms Wanisa who took him to the police station to make a complaint.
