Smoking

With my unexpected illness came a great surprise. While I was incapacitated for about 2 weeks, it gave me the time to quit smoking. You've all heard the first 2 weeks are the worst. It is, it absolutely fucking is. Getting my treatment in Vietnam kept me away from cigs, mostly because I couldn't use my arms or legs lol. Once I got back I was like fuck it, let's see if I can stop. I did eat more the first couple weeks back in PP, but a month after I could easily say no to smokes. I still want to smoke, I know it will be delicious, just knowing how hard it is to quit keeps me from smoking again.

Basically, I was a smoker for 13 years, if you want to stop, get really fucking sick.

The ecigs have got me totally off the cancer canes. Fuck knows how much better it is in the long run, but it's real nice to be able to breathe, walk up stairs and not turn every minor headcold into weeks of a TB type coughing and hacking of lung butter.

It may look a bit stupid, but vaping FTW.

I was wondering what was that stick you were sucking. I thought you had unusual habit or something.

Is there anywhere to buy decent vape equipment here?

Its illegal but you can buy them in PP. There was a seller mentioned on a past thread here somewhere.
I have an e-cig but it's to prepare myself psychologically - I'm not ready/sick enough just yet.
Good luck for anyone quitting. I did stop for 4 months but hated it. It's all in your head, and my head's not ready right now.

Get back in your kennel, and if you're good, then it's walkies and a biscuit.

It's interesting that you feel better Kampong Spooner I was a pack-a-day guy for just over 30 years and two years ago I started on the ecigs. I don't feel any better at all and can't see how I can ever get off these now.

That's pretty much double the years I was smoking cigarettes. I have smoked all sorts of strange things over the years too, which wouldn't be healthy, but haven't had anything other than the odd herbal*

Until earlier this year I was on 1-3 packs a day in Cambodia, and since making the switch, I can honestly say I feel better, if nothing else the lack of tar must be improving my lungs/not fucking them up any more.

The vapes are also quite addictive, but my supplier has juice from 18mg right down to 0mg, so to quit totally, one could, in theory, wean oneself off nicotine that way.
