My friend really wants a Cambodian wife.

This is his plan. He just sent it to Missus on messenger.

‘Sell my car, and most of my possessions. Fly to Cambodia with Moonie. Find a wife.’

Moonie is his cat.

I don’t even know where to start.
Any advice for this poor soul?

Suggestions?
Maybe take a lion as an offering instead of the cat?

I believe you can pick one up in Texas, already pre-packaged in a small cage, as easy as picking up a modified M15.
Hell, that is exactly where one of Phnom Tamao's existing lions did indeed come from.

A fair trade is not guaranteed however
- the wife may or may not prove to be as "interesting" as the lion to live with.

Many find their future wife online. Beats selling everything and trekking your cat across the globe. Don’t put the cat through that.

No need to sell up and move - if he wants to later, sure …. But sounds like he is judging all Cambodian women based on your wife.

She’s pretty special.

Why is he a poor soul? What's wrong with going to Cambodia to look for a wife? He could probably find one in a day or two. The only problem is getting a visa right now.

The problem is we are talking about an adult man who is able to marry, but instead of the good wholesome Southwest American Cowboy sense, this feller has cultivated some qualities that appear to be, umm, different than the previously mentioned archetypal male of legend and glory.

I say wind him up, let wifey train him and you can always encourage, NKOTB, and remain an objective friend. Wind him and let the chips fall where they will.

Can you tell him to PM Violet . I'm sure she will fall in love with Moonie, and that could be the start of a life long relationship between the three of them.
